Thank you for your help in transforming the barns in Berryville’s Rose Hill
Park into a vital center
for community, culture and the arts. There are
several ways to extend your support—let us know
your preference.
We would note that, as in any charitable giving, it is important for you to

Designated contributions: The Barns of Rose Hill project lends itself
to opportunities for honoring individuals or
organizations through
designated contributions, and a Benefactor Pledge and Claim form is
available for identifying
various aspects of the Barns facility to support
with the designation of a gift in someone’s name.
Cash gifts: The most straightforward way of contributing is through a
gift of cash, and some donors prefer to increase
the size of their gift
through a multi-year pledge—a welcome prospect given that our capital
campaign will continue
through 2008. Cash donations may be made by check or
credit card. A Pledge and Promise of Gift device is available
to record your
contribution and to establish a gift schedule.
Highly appreciated securities: A gift or pledge may be satisfied
through a donation of highly appreciated securities.
The benefits of this
method of giving are two-fold: You would receive an income tax deduction for
the fair market
value of the stock on the day of transfer, and you would
also avoid some or all capital gains tax on the appreciation
in value.

Estate or planned gifts: Under certain circumstances, The Barns may
accept estate or planned gifts for the project.
These could include
charitable remainder trusts, bequests and gifts of retirement funds. Such a
gift would be reviewed
on an individual basis to ensure a good match for
both you and The Barns of Rose Hill. Please contact us if you’d like

Gifts of time and materials: Contractors who wish to offer gifts of
time and materials toward construction costs are
invited to participate in
this way.
