ENDOWMENT GIVING

The Endowment Fund Provides Stability and Opportunity for the Barns of Rose Hill

The Barns of Rose Hill established an endowment fund in 2014 to provide a stable financial foundation, upon which to perform its mission to enrich lives through programs in the performing, visual, and literary arts.

These funds are invested to ensure long-term financial health by providing steady support for programs and a measure of security during economic fluctuations. An endowment gift is ultimately a reflection of how you value the arts. Gifts of any size can be made to Barns of Rose Hill’s endowment fund to support our programs for years to come.

Barns of Rose Hill’s endowment donors are leaders — their gifts make a positive impact on the organization long into the future.

What Barns of Rose Hill does with endowment funds:

• Invests wisely to generate income for annual use and long-term growth.
• Spends a portion of earnings each year to advance the mission through programs.
• Develops realistic and inspiring long-term plans based on this ongoing support.

The Eugene B. Casey Foundation Challenge Grant & Endowment Matching Campaign

It’s up to us to raise $100,000 annually to secure the Foundation’s match and reach our  $1,000,000 goal over five years.

In 2014, the Barns of Rose Hill Board of Directors established an endowment to provide a stable financial foundation upon which to perform the Barns’ mission “… to enrich lives through programs in the performing, visual, and literary arts.”

On March 22, 2017 the Board of Directors announced that the Eugene B. Casey Foundation made a $500,000 Challenge Grant to the Barns of Rose Hill endowment. The Foundation, long a supporter of the local community, thereby committed to serve as a leader in establishing a significant endowment for the Barns of Rose Hill.

Beginning that year, the Foundation Challenge Grant matched, dollar for dollar, up to $100,000 of endowment gifts through August 31 of each year, over the course of five years. Hugely successful, the Challenge ended on August 31, 2021, leaving the Barns with an endowment in excess of $1,000,000.

The Foundation was so pleased with the performance of this matching campaign that they announced a second five-year $500,000 Challenge Grant to begin at the conclusion of the first campaign in 2021.

The Barns of Rose Hill continues to depend upon annual giving, donations, and grants to support and make possible our ongoing programs. The Barns continues to encourage and solicit individuals, foundations, and companies for this annual support. These donations for ongoing programs are the lifeblood of the Barns; they allow the doors to stay open.

In harmony with annual giving and donations, gifts to the endowment provide an opportunity to establish long-term financial stability for the Barns. Additionally, the Eugene B. Casey Foundation Challenge Grant allows donors to leverage their gifts to double “the bang for their buck,” so to speak.

If you believe in the power of arts and education, and community to change our world, we hope you consider joining The Eugene B. Casey Foundation in supporting the Barns of Rose Hill as we continue our mission into a bright future.
