Call for Art | Winter Wonderland

Sleigh bells ring, are you listenin'?

From sparkling snowflakes and cozy winter scenes to holiday traditions, festive celebrations, and the quiet beauty of the season, winter offers plenty of inspiration for artists.

This winter, the Barns of Rose Hill invites artists from across the region to share their interpretations of the season in Winter Wonderland, a festive exhibition celebrating all things merry and bright. Whether your work captures the magic of the holidays, the beauty of a snowy landscape, or the simple pleasures of a winter day, we want to see it!

Artists working in all mediums and styles are welcome to submit their work. We look forward to bringing together a variety of artistic perspectives for this seasonal celebration.

Important Dates

Submission Deadline:
Wednesday, November 4, by 5:00 p.m.

Notification of Acceptance:
No later than Friday, November 6

Artwork Drop-Off:
Saturday, November 7, 3:00–8:00 p.m.,
or Sunday, November 8, 12:00–4:00 p.m.

Exhibition Dates:
Friday, November 13–Thursday, December 24

Artwork Pick-Up:
January 5–9, 2027, 12:00–3:00 p.m.

Submission Requirements

Artists may submit up to three works for consideration. Each submission must include:

• Contact Information: Your name, email address, and mailing address.

• Artwork Information: The title and medium of each work.

• Artist Bio or Statement: A brief biography or artist statement is welcome but optional.

• Artwork Images: Submit a photo of each work in PNG, JPG, or PDF format. Label each file with your last name and the artwork title (e.g., Monet_Sunrise.jpg).

Please ensure that all required information and images are included with your submission. Incomplete submissions may not be considered.

Artwork Sales & Exhibition Fee

There is no participation fee for artists whose work is offered for sale. The Barns of Rose Hill will handle sales during the exhibition and retain a 30% commission on artwork sold.

Artists who wish to exhibit work that is not for sale are also welcome to participate. However, if none of an artist's submitted works are available for purchase, a $10 exhibition fee will be due at artwork drop-off.

Artists may submit a combination of works for sale and not for sale without an exhibition fee, provided at least one submitted work is offered for sale.

Selection Process & Display Requirements

Winter Wonderland welcomes a variety of artistic styles, interpretations, and mediums. Submissions will be reviewed based on their relevance to the winter theme, artistic quality, and adherence to the submission guidelines.

All artwork must be appropriately prepared for hanging or display. The Barns reserves the right to decline submissions that do not meet the stated requirements.
