VOLUNTEER
GIVE TIME TO THE ARTS
Volunteers are one of our most valuable resources! We depend on an enthusiastic and dedicated team to support Barns of Rose Hill operations and programs throughout our busy, year-round schedule of events.
Volunteer Positions & Descriptions
The Barns of Rose Hill typically needs three to five volunteers to support our nearly 50 concerts each year. Other programs, including exhibition receptions, film screenings, and workshops, may require one or two volunteers. In every case, volunteers serve as a face of the Barns and must be comfortable interacting with the public.
Ideal candidates are polite, enjoy working with people, and can act independently when needed. Volunteers help the Barns maintain a robust schedule of events with a small staff, and may not always have direct support during busy programs. For this reason, volunteers should be self-sufficient, proactive, and committed to acting in the best interests of the Barns.
Basic technological proficiency is required to operate the Barns’ point-of-sale system. Volunteers are also expected to maintain a high degree of ethical behavior and are entrusted with the safety and security of Barns’ resources.

Volunteer Impact
Barns of Rose Hill volunteers contribute nearly 1,500 hours each year. With more than 60 volunteers on our roster, that averages 24 hours per volunteer—equivalent to over $30,000 in staffing support, a significant savings for a small nonprofit like the Barns. Volunteers truly make a difference!
Volunteer Perks
Not only do our volunteers get to enjoy a variety of world-class musical performances, they’re also rewarded for their time. For every 15 hours of volunteer service, Barns of Rose Hill volunteers receive one complimentary event pass. In other words, you can earn a free concert by volunteering at as few as five shows!
Volunteering is both fun and rewarding. Don’t just take our word for it—ask a volunteer about their experience on your next visit to the Barns!
