Kipyn (Kai) Martin: We Are Stardust
Kipyn (Kai) Martin brings the music of Joni Mitchell to life in We Are Stardust, a heartfelt tribute that captures the depth, poetry, and emotional resonance of one of the most influential songwriters of the 20th century. With a voice that moves effortlessly between strength and vulnerability, Kai channels the spirit of Mitchell’s work while offering a fresh, personal interpretation that feels both authentic and immediate.
Vienna: Then and Now
This show is part of our 2026 Classical Music Series!
The Main Street Chamber Orchestra presents masterpieces from the two schools of Viennese composition: Mozart’s Eine kleine Nachtmusik and Arnold Schoenberg’s Chamber Symphony No. 1, for 15 Solo Instruments. The concert will open with Schatzwaltz ("Treasure Waltz") by the waltz king, Johann Strauss II.

Special Consensus

For more than four decades, The Special Consensus has been a bluegrass mainstay, earning two Grammy nominations and seven IBMA awards for its blend of traditional harmonies and contemporary style. Featuring Greg Cahill, Greg Blake, Dan Eubanks, and Brian McCarty, the band delivers dynamic performances rooted in bluegrass tradition while embracing fresh musical ideas.

Critton Hollow String Band

Since 1975, Critton Hollow String Band has brought traditional American music to audiences around the world. More than 50 years later, this beloved trio continues to delight listeners with a rich blend of Appalachian fiddle tunes, early American ballads, and contemporary folk songs.
The Dirty Grass Players
Baltimore's The Dirty Grass Players have been pushing the leading edge of bluegrass music since 2015. They find an intersection between progress and tradition that in one set could inspire Flatt & Scruggs to reunite and then break up all over again. This band can play as clean as anybody but isn't afraid to get a little dirty.

FREE EVENT! The Polio Crusade is a one-hour documentary that interweaves the personal accounts of polio survivors with the story of an ardent crusader who tirelessly fought on their behalf while scientists raced to eradicate this dreaded disease.

Fuse Ensemble

Fuse Ensemble is a unique electroacoustic chamber ensemble that gives voice to new music composers and creates musical happenings with visual elements of live or interactive video, electronics, or kinetic installations. Clear Day Thunder Film Screening
Presented in partnership with the Oak Spring Garden Foundation, the 2023 film Clear Day Thunder: Rescuing the American Chestnut is a documentary about the grassroots efforts of passionate citizen scientists and researchers working to restore this ecologically and economically significant tree species.
Jerron “Blind Boy” Paxton

An accomplished multi-instrumentalist, Jerron “Blind Boy” Paxton transforms traditional jazz, blues, folk, and country into the here and now. Mesmerizing audiences with humor and stories tied to the rich history of Black American music, Paxton recently signed with the Smithsonian Folkways label for his next, long-awaited full-length release, due out in 2024.

An ensemble of virtuosic pickers, the Jacob Jolliff Band tours across the US with mandolinist and lead vocalist Jacob Jolliff at the helm. After cutting his teeth as a longtime member of Joy Kills Sorrow and later Yonder Mountain String Band, Jolliff has set off in a new direction. Featuring tight vocal harmonies and instrumental fireworks, the band’s latest self-titled album marks a major milestone in Jolliff’s evolution and the arrival of an authority on bluegrass mandolin.
