About the Class: Immerse yourself in the world of oil painting in this hands-on workshop with esteemed painter and educator Jordan Xu. Canvases, easels, and paints are provided—please bring any brushes you’re comfortable using. Focus on foundational techniques, from mixing color to applying brushwork, while exploring classical approaches and vibrant, expressive applications.

About the Instructor: Jordan Xu began studying portrait painting at the Art League School in Alexandria, Virginia, in 2002 and has since developed a style that blends classical realism with vibrant color and expressive brushwork. A musician as well as a painter, he frequently incorporates musical themes into his work.
