About the Program: Celebrate the opening of Plants and Places: Artwork from the Oak Spring Garden Foundation with a reception exploring the ways artists engage with plants and landscapes as sources of inspiration, inquiry, and creative expression. Peruse the exhibition, enjoy light refreshments, and discover how the Oak Spring Garden Foundation’s residency program inspires creative engagement with plants and landscapes. Afterwards, stay for a screening of Fragments of Eden, an intimate look inside the studio of distinguished French artist Sophie Grandval, beginning at 7:00 PM.
About OSGF: The Oak Spring Garden Foundation is dedicated to sharing the gifts and ideas of Rachel "Bunny" Mellon. Its mission is to support and inspire fresh thinking and bold action on the history and future of plants, including the art and culture of plants, gardens, and landscapes.
Date & Time: Friday, March 27, 2026. The reception will begin at 5:30 and conclude by 7:00 PM, at which time we will be screening the film Fragments of Eden. Visitors are welcome to come and go as time allows, and are encouraged to stay for the free screening.
