About the Program: Join us for a reception celebrating The Spaces We Share: Animals, People & Place, a solo exhibition by Clarke County artist Tamara Lewis, on display in the Upper Gallery from November 13 through December 26, 2026.

Working primarily in oil and cold wax, Lewis explores the relationships between animals, people, and the environments they share, using layered applications of color, expressive shapes, and rich textures to bring her subjects to life.

Inspired in part by the Shenandoah region, Lewis's paintings move between the recognizable and the abstract, inviting viewers to look more closely at the connections between the natural world and our shared experiences. From animal subjects and human relationships to music-inspired imagery, her work explores the ways color, movement, and composition bring different worlds together.

Visitors may come and go as time allows. Complimentary refreshments will be provided.

Date & Time: Friday, November 13, 2026. The reception will begin at 5:30, and conclude by 7:00 PM.
