About: Get a jump on your winter garden!

Join local Master Gardener Kathy Holcomb and members of the Virginia Cooperative Extension Northern Shenandoah Valley Master Gardener Association for a hands-on Winter Sowing Workshop.

Learn how to transform an ordinary one-gallon milk jug into a mini greenhouse and discover how winter sowing gives your seeds a protected, natural environment to germinate, strengthens seedlings, and gives you a head start on spring planting. It’s a fun, practical way to keep your garden thriving through the colder months!
