About the artist: The Eric Byrd Trio has enjoyed a celebrated 20+ year career as global jazz ambassadors. Winners of the Maryland State Arts Council’s Independent Artist Award and the 2022 Wammie Award for Jazz Recording of the Year, they were also honored with a Governor’s Citation recognizing two decades of artistic excellence. Rooted in swing, bebop, gospel, and blues, their work spans seven acclaimed recordings, including projects with their expanded ensemble, the Brother Ray Band. The Trio is part of the Maryland Performing Artist Touring Roster, reflecting their professional excellence and touring success. As educators with advanced music degrees, they offer clinics worldwide and have toured internationally as U.S. State Department Jazz Ambassadors. They've played prestigious stages such as the Montreux Jazz Festival and collaborated with jazz greats like Wynton Marsalis, Terell Stafford, Bob Berg, and Yolanda Adams, bringing their modern yet tradition-rich sound to audiences across five continents.

Ticket Price: All tickets are general admission. $15 in advance until 3:00 PM on the day of the event. $20 at the door. Children 12 years and below are free when accompanied by an adult.
