About: Hubby Jenkins, Grammy- and Americana-nominated multi-instrumentalist, brings a lifetime of passion for old-time American music to the Barns. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Jenkins traced his southern roots and the thread of African American history woven through America’s traditional music, ultimately performing with the Carolina Chocolate Drops and later Rhiannon Giddens’ band at festivals and venues around the world. Today, he shares that deep musical knowledge through dynamic solo performances that blend guitar, banjo, and voice, revealing the evolution of folk traditions and the enduring connections between past and present.
