About: Lillian Hackett is an emerging singer-songwriter from Lovettsville, Virginia, whose passion for music began in childhood, when she was immersed in the vibrant local music scene. Weekends spent at barn dances, folk festivals, and bonfire jams shaped her style and connected her to the rich heritage of old-time and bluegrass music. Often described as an Appalachian Stevie Nicks or a distant cousin of Sierra Ferrell, Lillian blends Folk and Americana influences to craft soulful, authentic musical experiences.
She has shared the stage with Deana Carter, Palmyra, and Low Water Bridge Band, and appeared on the nationally televised singing competition American Idol. Returning from Hollywood, Lillian is focused on growing not only as a musician but as a storyteller, bringing depth and emotion to every performance.
Joining Lillian onstage will be Lynn Kasdorf on pedal steel, Evan Bell on upright bass, and Joe Hammet on guitar and mandolin.
This Emerging Artist Month program is supported in part by a grant from the Boxley-Fox Endowment Fund.
