About: In honor of Black History Month, Bill Johnston performs selected songs tracing the arc of the Black experience, from the darkness of slavery to the hope and struggle of the 1960s civil rights movement. In addition to fostering awareness and appreciation of this rich and powerful musical heritage, the program seeks to preserve the collective memory of slavery, Jim Crow, and the civil rights era.
Date & Time: Sunday, February 22, 2026. Doors open at 1:30 PM, and the program will begin at 2:00 PM.
Registration Fee: $5 per person. Free admission for children 12 and under. Ticket proceeds jointly support the Josephine School Community Museum and the Barns of Rose Hill.
