This VA250 program has been organized by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and is funded, in part, by the Paul Mellon Endowment and the Jean Stafford Camp Memorial Fund.
About: Trace the evolution of tea from a Royal social hour in Britain to a Revolutionary spark in Colonial America. Join VMFA Chief Educator Celeste Fetta as she examines how objects and material culture, including silver and ceramics from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Collection (VMFA), helped provoke America’s war for independence.
About the Instructor: Celeste Fetta received her BA in art history with a minor in anthropology from the College of William and Mary and holds an MA in decorative art history from the University of Glasgow. She is currently Chief Educator at VMFA.
Date & Time: Saturday, April 18, 2026. Doors open at 1:30 PM, and the program begins at 2:00 PM.
