About: Brian Ganz is renowned for his deeply expressive playing and rare ability to forge an immediate emotional connection with audiences. Praised by The Washington Post for performances that are both “masterly” and “moved by a search for artistic truth,” he brings warmth, insight, and intensity to every stage.
Mr. Ganz is currently in the 14th season of his acclaimed project with the National Philharmonic to perform the complete works of Frédéric Chopin at the Music Center at Strathmore. His interpretations have been lauded for their poetic sensitivity and authentic emotional power.
He has appeared as soloist with the St. Louis Symphony, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, National Symphony, Baltimore Symphony, and others, performing under conductors such as Leonard Slatkin, Marin Alsop, and Mstislav Rostropovich. He serves as artist-in-residence at St. Mary’s College of Maryland and is the editor of the Schirmer Performance Edition of Chopin’s Preludes. A passionate communicator and creative collaborator, Mr. Ganz continues to explore new ways to make classical music vivid, personal, and alive.

Ticket Price: All tickets are general admission. $25 in advance until 3:00 PM on the day of the event. $30 at the door. Children 12 years and below are free when accompanied by an adult.
