About: Sculptor and stone carver Malcolm Harlow has spent more than four decades shaping the art of sculpture, leaving an indelible mark nationally and here in Virginia.
This special program begins with a reception, where a selection of Malcolm’s artwork will be on display and available for purchase, followed by a screening of Jesus & The Kids, a documentary by filmmaker Nancy Baker that captures the artist at work on a bronze statue of Christ—from the first scale models to the monumental sculpture now installed at a retreat near Front Royal.
Malcolm first gained national recognition in the 1970s as a sculptor and stone carver at the Washington National Cathedral, contributing to the west façade and designing gothic elements, including gargoyles. Locally, his work includes the bronze statue of a young George Washington in Winchester, along with numerous monumental carvings, bronze sculptures, and architectural stonework.
This is a rare opportunity to see Malcolm’s artistry in action, meet the artist in person, and experience the skill and vision that have inspired generations of sculptors and stone carvers.
Date & Time: Sunday, November 16, 2025. Doors open at 1:00 PM, and the screening will begin at 2:00 PM.
