About: Showcasing their upcoming sophomore album, Here To Stay—set for release on June 3, 2025—2024 Canadian Folk Music Award winners Jocelyn Pettit & Ellen Gira are a dynamic fiddle and cello duo. With a compelling blend of traditional and contemporary styles, their performances are powerfully uplifting and soulful—featuring rhythmic drive, rich textures, and lively step dancing. Their repertoire spans original compositions and high-energy tunes from Scotland, Ireland, North America, and Scandinavia.

Since first joining forces in Glasgow in 2018, Jocelyn & Ellen have captivated audiences across North America, the UK, and Europe. They’ve appeared on BBC Radio 3 and Sweden’s Radio P2, and performed at major festivals including the Vancouver Folk Music Festival, Celtic Colours International Festival, Celtic Connections, and Sweden’s Urkult Festival.

Their critically acclaimed 2024 album, All It Brings, was recently awarded “Traditional Album of the Year” at the Canadian Folk Music Awards and nominated for “Instrumental Artist of the Year” at the Western Canadian Music Awards. The album showcases their nuanced fiddle-cello interplay, vocal harmonies, and guest guitar accompaniment—offering a moving celebration of hope and resilience.

Now, with Here To Stay, Jocelyn & Ellen continue to evolve their distinctive sound and share their vibrant musical vision with audiences worldwide.

Ticket Price: All tickets are general admission. $25 in advance until 3:00 PM on the day of the event. $30 at the door. Children 12 years and below are free when accompanied by an adult.
